Manage your sticky notes
Sticky notes programs, they're all more or less the same, right? I mean what's so special in a sticky note? All you need it for is to scribble things here and there after all.
That's why I wasn't so thrilled to try out this new program, SketchBox, which lets you create and manage sticky notes. Yet I have to admit I have impressed at the way the program worked, and it almost made me want to start using sticky notes again.
Sticky notes created with Sketchbox include three tabs, for writing, sketching and setting an alarm. You can use different pens, fonts and colors and take a screenshot of your note. Setting an alarm is a little confusing at first but works really well: with three columns for days, minutes and seconds, you just need to use your mouse roll to select the number you want.
SketchBox also includes a manager interface through which you can preview and search your notes and organize them into folders.
SketchBox actually makes creating and managing sticky notes fun. Who would have thought?

No support.
The developer stopped supporting this app and it is incompatible with Snow Leopard and beyond. Unfortunately I was a faithful user and now I cannot recover any of the data I had saved on SketchBox stickies.
Pros:
Was a good alternative to Stickies.
Cons:
No support and no upgrades. More

Pretty Nice!.
I really like how it supports both drawing and type as I will definitely to both. And I love the ability to change the size, color and font to whatever I desire. The screen capture is also a very nice feature! The transparency is very nice so if you're on the typing tab the image is like a background and the type still shows up when you're in the draw tab. But what about if you wanted to write onto a screen capture? It's not much of a problem, but the option to change the transparency between the type and drawing layer might be handy to some people.I do like the idea of having the alarm also. However, I would like the alarm much better if the note would pop up to the front of the screen when the alarm went off instead of making me look for it. There should be some indication on the note itself that it's alarm went off. It could be confusing if there were multiple notes with alarms as the notes have no visible indication that their alarm went off. Also, it would be really nice if there was an option for a silent alarm; the note could just pop up to the front of the screen without a sound for work in quiet or public areas.Also...I found that I could not move these notes through spaces...so if I open it in one space it's stuck there. There can be improvements, but otherwise I really like Sketchbox for it's simplicity(yet usefulness) and ability to customize.
Pros:
Drawing
Writing
Alarm
Customization
Screen Capture
Cons:
Alarm does not make note come to front More
